Terms and Conditions

Love and Lather and its groomers agree to provide the agreed services in a professional manner. Any additional services, including but not limited to any flea/tick prevention, additional spa treatments, and coat treatments such as dematting, will be charged as extra. Final agreement will take place with the customer on arrival. The Dog Owner acknowledges that the final grooming results may vary based on the dog’s coat condition, behaviour, and given instructions. The Dog Groomer will make every reasonable effort to achieve the desired grooming results.

 

The Dog Owner certifies that their dog is in good health and has been free from contagious diseases for at least 14 days prior to the appointment. The Dog Owner should ensure that their dog’s vaccinations and flea and worming treatments are up to date. The Dog Owner acknowledges that all information provided in the client record is accurate. It is the Dog Owner’s responsibility to inform the Dog Groomer of any bites and previous behavioural issues or if the dog should be muzzled. If the Dog Owner fails to do so, they will be responsible for any medical expenses or damage to the property resulting from their dog’s misbehaviour.

 

The Dog Owner agrees to pay the Dog Groomer the service fees as agreed prior to collecting the dog. In cases of severe matting where removal is not possible without causing stress to your dog, the Dog Groomer may recommend trimming or shaving the affected areas. There will be an additional fee charged for this process, and the Dog Owner acknowledges that the Dog Groomer will not be held responsible for any nicks, irritations, or itchiness after grooming due to a matted coat. Based on the severity of the matting a minimum £8 charge will be applied. To cancel or reschedule an appointment, the Dog Owner is required to provide notice of at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the appointment. If a cancellation is made after this period, then the full grooming fee will be applied.

 

In the event of a medical emergency or accident, every reasonable effort will be made to contact the Dog Owner or their emergency contact immediately. If the Dog Owner or emergency contact cannot be reached in time, the Dog Owner authorises the Dog Groomer to seek the veterinary care necessary for the dog’s health, safety, and well-being. The Dog Owner shall be responsible for all associated veterinary expenses if their dog is old, in poor health, aggressive, or temperamental resulting in excessive movement of the dog. In the event of an accident or incident that results in injury or discomfort to your dog, the business will promptly document and report the incident to the Dog Owner.

 

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your dog’s groom, or the services provided, please let us know within 24hrs of picking up your dog. The team will be happy to work with you to resolve the situation and will request that you bring the dog back to the salon within 72 hrs to allow the team to resolve the issue.

 

Love and Lather and its Groomers may also take before and after pictures of your dog as part of the grooming process to be used as training and as part promotional, social media and other marketing content.

The owner will be required to sign a copy of these T&Cs prior to the appointment.
